Knightdale United Methodist Church Preschool Director Knightdale United Methodist Church Preschool is seeking a director to provide leadership and organizational development for our growing program. KUMCP is a family-based preschool whose role is to provide children with preparatory education in a loving and nurturing environment. The director provides support and encouragement to the preschool staff and guides the curriculum, while also overseeing the daily operations and parent communication. The director collaborates with both the KUMC Preschool Board as well as the church leadership to guide this important ministry. Most importantly, the director must have a passion for children and a desire to continue fostering a strong preschool family and community. Qualifications and Skills: - A bachelor’s degree with 18 hours of early childhood course credit from accredited college or university and must have the administration credential. - Self-direction, flexibility and adaptability - Strong communication skills- both written and oral - Familiarity/experience with Conscious Discipline practices - Computer skills- including social media, web information, budget, preschool management software, etc. - Knowledge and experience in marketing practices and maintaining student enrollment - Part time, approx. 30/hrs week - 12 month position, with availability during the summer for preschool camps and administrative duties as required - Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
