Parents

As parents of a young person, you play a vital role in their perceptions and beliefs regarding faith and religion.  According to a recent BeliefNet survey, 35% of teens responded that their parents have the most influence on their spiritual lives, followed by a religious leader (15%), their friends (15%), a teacher (4%), and all others (32%).  As partners in ministry together with you, we recognize the need for ongoing communication and view this web site as one means of ensuring up-to-date information is available to you at all times.  We hope you will find it effective and will check back often for updates.

Your teen's well-being is important to us.  We take great steps to ensure a safe, secure environment, where students may discover the truth in Jesus Christ. Our hope is that they connect and grow deeper in their faith-life!  KUMC has a documented Safe Sanctuary Policy which we carefully follow in consultation with the leaders of the Safe Sanctuary committee.  The policy is available for your reference here

Please contact us with your suggestions and any questions you may have as well.  We welcome your feedback as we work together to ensure the best possible student ministry for our teens.  We urge you to consider volunteering in some capacity.  Complete the Parent Time and Talent Survey to let us know your areas of interest so we may call on you to serve in the way in which you feel most comfortable.
