Parents

As parents of a young person, you play a vital role in their perceptions and beliefs regarding faith and religion.  According to a recent BeliefNet survey, 35% of teens responded that their parents have the most influence on their spiritual lives, followed by a religious leader (15%), their friends (15%), a teacher (4%), and all others (32%).  As partners in ministry together with you, we recognize the need for ongoing communication and view this web site as one means of ensuring up-to-date information is available to you at all times.  We hope you will find it effective and will check back often for updates.  

Your teen's well-being is important to us.  We take great steps to ensure a safe, secure environment, where students may discover the truth in Jesus Christ. Our hope is that they connect and grow deeper in their faith-life!  KUMC has a documented Safe Sanctuary Policy which we carefully follow in consultation with the leaders of the Safe Sanctuary committee.  The policy is available for your reference here.
